well, it’s my last day of leave! just got back from a luscious massage and am currently taking care of some back-to-work arrangements. a. has been in day care since 9:30 this morning and while i do feel like i’m in mild withdrawal, it’s been nice to have some time to relax and tie up loose ends before tomorrow.
i’m feeling . . . ready, but nervous and antsy. i’d like to hit the ground running, but i think that there’s going to be a lot of red tape and catchup at work over the next couple of days. perhaps it will actually help ease me back in — i’m already finding myself stressing over little things, but really there’s no rush. everything seemed to go just fine for the past 12 weeks without me, and therefore few slow days on the front end aren’t going to be the end of the world.
about to sort through the things on my desk so that i can begin tomorrow with an otherwise-clean slate. i’m guessing that i may not be able to post for a couple of days, though you never know . . .

recent workouts + dinners of note
today: 4 mi @ 8:37/mi average. woohoo!! speed is returning . . . given that i slowed down purposefully while TTC at some point, i actually haven’t run this fast for quite some time. it feels good.

Good luck tomorrow!
Good Luck with the first day back – hope it’s going smoothly & that you’re not missing A too much!
Hope today goes well for you 🙂 from personal experience, I would say it is both very difficult and a little heartbreaking to go back to work, but for me both professionally and financially necessary as well as needed for personal fulfillment. *sigh* but coming home to that cute little face is the best!
