scenes from saturday
different styles of studying . . .
some of us need a little more structure.
shopping for cheap pieces of plastic . . .
(only the kids sunglasses fit my microcephalic face, apparently. so no, i did not take home this barbie brand pair.)
and bigger ticket items:
♥ just like my old computer . . . except fast! ♥
when i have a bit more time, i want to streamline this baby even more (take off applications i don’t use, get rid of duplicate photos and music, etc). but right now i’m just enjoying the impressive processing speed and springy backlit keyboard!
overbooked
even with speed on my side, i am going to keep this post short because i am keenly aware that i have completely overbooked myself for this weekend. at the presentation i will be giving at the healthy living summit (check out the professional-looking bio!), one of my biggest points will be planning in a bit less than you will think you will be able to accomplish.
what i would like to do today
☑ clean kitchen and bathroom
☑ laundry
☑ groceries/meal planning
☑ 9-10 mile run
☑ brunch out with sister + friend
☑ check out some durham apartments (2) for move in spring 2011
☑ studying for boards
☑ work on HLS talk
☑ work on research proposal
☑ plan speakers for next month’s endo meetings
☑ cook dinner & have friends over for casual sunday dinner
☑ sleep by 9 pm
yeah, i’m not sure how this is going to work out. i should follow my own advice, right?
conditions for the aforementioned run are already looking less than favorable . . . i guess i’d better get started! side note: how is a heat index of 110 followed by thunderstorms ‘good for outdoor activities?’ hmmm.
do you overschedule yourself? if not, how do you avoid it?? there are just so many things i want to do! i guess in a way that’s a good thing, but it can certainly be overwhelming. i will try as best as i possibly can today to keep my focus on one thing at a time!

I study both Sarah and Josh style – but the couch all too often leads to a snooze! I see on twitter you got your 10 miler done, awesome. Hope the rest of your day is accomplished as well!
thanks Dr. Sarah
I definitely study like your husband! Bad news, because it's much easier to squeeze in an unplanned nap.
