so what day is, it, anyway?
i’m starting to feel more than a little disoriented. thankfully, only 2 calls remain. i’m not in a chatty mood tonight (this seems to be a theme post-call). call itself was okay: 3 heme/onc admissions all in a row, but things quieted down eventually and i got several hours of uninterrupted sleep.

i have to admit i am feeling a little down. i don’t want to go into specifics (maybe i will someday, but not now) but i got some news at a doctor’s appointment that kind of bummed me out. while annoying, it is nothing at all life-threatening or unmanageable and i certainly see enough truly sick people in the world to realize that in the grand scheme of things, i am still very lucky.

of course, it only made sense that i drown my sorrows in this.

aimée, can i wear it to your wedding? i want to!
