so close

i'm in the home stretch! i have a half-day today (well, 6 hours if i'm lucky!), a yummy day off tomorrow, and a 24-hour shift on sunday.

and then vacation!!

today i plan to spend my afternoon:
☆ working on some thanks you notes/gifts
☆ 7 mile run (5 tempo) . . . outside, perhaps? i need to recalibrate my polar!
☆ watching some top model (i'm very behind!)
☆ napping.

i am so glad the 80-hour work week rule makes these 'short fridays' mandatory! they are almost worth the two calls i had to take per week all month. almost.



workout: i told myself, "this is the last post-call workout for a MONTH!" and managed to drag my butt to the gym without much internal protest. i did 40 minutes on the elliptical (4.67 'miles', for whatever that's worth) and 20 minutes weights.
- pushups, 2 x 10
- lat pull-downs, 45 lbs, 2 x 12
- double walking lunges, 8 lb weights each hand, 2 x 12
- tricep pushdowns, 15 lbs, 2 x 10
- bicep lower/upper/full curls, 12 lb weights, 2 x 15
- seated rows, 40 lbs, 2 x 10

cooking: i threw together a fast stir-fry (stir-fried ginger shrimp from cooking light) and some brown rice for an easy post-call dinner. served hot -- check out the steam rising from the plate!

It's nice to have a short Friday. I do too. :)

I was behind on ANTM until last night. I'm still behind on some other favorites!
