instead, the exciting news is that i am officially going to be staying at duke for yet another 3 years after residency to do my pediatric endocrinology fellowship! i am thrilled with the way things turned out, and about the fact that i now know that i am going to be able to pursue what i truly love and what i know fits me so well.
i feel like i have so much to be thankful for this year.
vacation plans for today
• easy run @ the gym with this month's self magazine
• massage!!!
• lots of pre-thanksgiving cooking action!
sounds like heaven to me. life is good.

workout: a good strong interval run! 7 miles total, 0.5% incline on the treadmill
- 1 mi warmup @ 9:05/mi
- 5 x 1000m @ 7:41/mi pace, 3 minutes jogging in between eachh
- 1.5 mi cooldown to total 7 mi
cooking: i had some friends over and we had a fajita-fest. unfortunately, they did not want their faces plastered all over the internet, so all i have to show is our fajita spread! i made some fresh guacamole, and then just did chicken (marinated in spices & lime juice) on the grill pan, sauteed peppers/onions/mushrooms, and served with tortillas, cheddar, sour cream, black beans, and salsa. easy and vegetarian friendly (one of my camera-shy friends doesn't eat meat).
